Dandybox Design is owned and managed by me, Julia Westwood and I’m a freelance graphic and website designer.
I trained as a Fine Artist at Oxford University and painting was my first love and remains an intrinsic part of who I am. Yet I have always been interested in the methodology of communication and my final year degree show exhibition was based on just that.
Throughout my working life I have spent time in client service roles, business development, project management and education – all within the creative sector. I returned to design in 2009, ultimately because although managing media was rewarding, I missed being a part of the design and development process.
I choose to work in a outsource/freelance capacity as it provides flexibility for both myself and my clients. I have the experience and scope you would expect from a large agency, but with the personal service you expect from a freelancer. With low overheads I can offer you better prices too! I collaborate with other talented professionals such as photographers, film makers, direct mail services and print management specialists – so you don’t have to go searching for extra pieces for your project.
Based in the West Midlands but comfortable working remotely, I can look after every aspect of your design and marketing, including website design, branding, copyrighting, point of sale, exhibitions, packaging, photography, graphic design, email campaigns and print management.
I’m happy to take simple one off art working jobs or complex conceptual design projects, either way my aim is to understand your business needs and make sure I deliver on brief, in time and in budget
